Down In Devon
[Buckshot]

Down in Devon where the land meets the sea
We all went together – the music made us free
Really rockin’ – gonna blow the old house down

The weirdest landlord we have ever met
Gave us a house and he gave us a bed
Really rockin’ – every day from dusk till dawn
Never stoppin’ – no-one there could slow us down

---
The empty stage before me
The lights still out
Excited like a little child

I see the crowd before me
Acting wild and loud
I’m nervous like a little child
---

--- solo ---

Our friends in Devon we’ll never forget
The ten great days that we have had
Really rockin’ – from Wilmington to Lee Mill town
They all went crazy from the seaside to the pub downtown

---
The empty stage before me
The lights still out
Excited like a little child

I see the crowd before me
Acting wild and loud
I’m nervous like a little child

The story behind this song is simple: it is a tale about our experiences in
England during our first "tour" there, in July 1999. The "weird" landlord
is in actual fact a very dear friend named Gareth James, who, indeed, offered
us a house and a bed.
And "our friends in Devon" are too numerous to mention:
You know who you are. We love you all . This song is for you.
